Star Wars Battlefront 2 trailer leaks ahead of expected reveal date

A few days ago, EA announced that Battlefront 2 would get a first look on the 15th during Star Wars Celebration this weekend. The Internet being the Internet, the trailer leaked on a Star Wars fansite. For only a 30 second trailer, it shows off some massive differences from it’s predecessor. For one, it’s narrated by a new character and seems to promise an oft-requested campaign, potentially taking place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. It also makes a point to highlight “Across All Eras” and while it doesn’t show any Clone Troopers, it does show a quick peek of Darth Maul facing off against Yoda. Rey and Kylo Ren also make an appearance to round out the timeline.

I thought the original game (the newest Battlefront, obviously) was a blast, though lacking in a few features. It was obviously rushed a bit to have it released in time for The Force Awakens and we could talk all day about the validity of DLC practices, but the game was great fun for what it was. If this game can deliver on the promises of this trailer, we could have a potential GOTY contender on our hands.
